Curiosity With Kristen Podcast

Kristen and I talked about career changes and how I went from Retail Managment to Industrial Supplies, to becoming an author and traveler. Check out the podcast!

Kristen hosts a podcast that demonstrates her curiosity about various people and their stories. She states that on her podcast, “You’ll hear real conversations with every day people making a difference, living their purpose, being parents, trying their best and sharing their knowledge of the experiences, both professionally and personally. You’ll also hear from executives about their companies and what cool things they are doing plus how they are navigating their companies and people forward. Each episode is unique and covers wide-ranging topics that give my guests an opportunity to share what they have learned, are learning, and are continuing to learn. Along with their wisdom, hope, and some great stories too!”

I was honored to talk with Kristen about my career experience from retail management, to industrial supplies, to becoming an author and traveler. We also discussed my long-distance thru hike on the John Muir Trail and my traveling experience. It isn’t an easy road to follow your dreams, but it’s worth it.

Throughout her wild 3-week journey backpacking 220+ miles in the California Sierra Mountains, Christy encountered freezing temperatures, pelting hail storms, and losing her way, but found trail family, incredible views, and experiences that would change her life forever. Hiking up and over ten different mountain passes gave Christy a lot of time to think about why her nine-year marriage was falling apart, gave her the chance to truly embody her individualism, time to make new friends, and the strength she would need on and off the trail. Her life could never again be the same.
This is one woman’s account of the three weeks she spent on the iconic trail.

From Readers Favorite: “... a compelling non-fiction adventure story of finding strength in the face of adversity and learning how to believe in yourself.”

From Kirkus Reviews: “Teglo's depictions of the natural wonders she viewed on the trail and her campfire conversations with fellow adventurers will motivate even the most devoted couch potato to think about lacing up a pair of hiking boots. An evocative hiking account that offers some powerful lessons."
